(Los Angeles, CA - January 12, 2011) Superstar tight end, team captain and Pro Bowler Vernon Davis of the San Francisco 49ers will conduct red carpet celebrity and filmmaker interviews for theBITE-TV on Friday, January 14th in Los Angeles at this year’s 16th Annual Critic’s Choice Awards. “I’m a big movie buff,” says Davis.
indoorDIRECT’s Jonna Birgans, Vice President, Strategic Alliances states “theBITE has millions of die hard sports fans who will be thrilled to see an athlete of Vernon’s stature as theBITE guest host at one of Hollywood’s top award shows, the Critic’s Choice Awards. We are excited to bring the world of sports and the world of entertainment together on our screens with original programming from theBITE!”
“Ok BITE fans, I’m excited, I’m ready, I’ve got my game plan and I promise not to let you guys down,” Davis said enthusiastically. In addition to covering The Critics Choice Awards as a reporter, the 49ers team captain is also a fan of many of the actors and filmmakers up for awards. One such filmmaker is Academy-Award winning director Quentin Tarantino who is being honored for his innovative use of music in films. “He makes great movies and they’re always full of action and sexy leading ladies,” Davis says laughing. “That’s definitely my speed.”
The NFL star says he has one big question for Tarantino and hopes to get a chance to ask it Friday night; so you’ll have to catch theBITE between January 18th–23rd at participating restaurants nationwide to find out if Vernon gets his answer. You can also follow Vernon on Twitter @VernonDavis85.
When asked which actors and filmmakers Davis thinks would go home winners, he said “I have my favorites, but we all have to wait and see!”
